JOB TITLE: Material Planner
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

SUMMARY:
Ensures that appropriate amounts of materials are purchased to complete a project. Receive plans and information from other departments and use this information to determine the necessary materials that will be needed. Coordinate with buyers such that suppliers deliver the ordered materials accurately and on time. Oversees inventory management of materials. Have knowledge of the Aerospace industry and the nature of the materials used in the business. Modifies production schedule as required by process changes or other factors. Capable of working from blueprints or diagrams but technical knowledge not required. Position not responsible for establishing operational sequences or processes. Coordinate with expediters within a large and complex computerized inventory system requiring the application of computerized inventory control and associated accounting processes. This position may require travel to other Regent facilities or job sites both domestic and international.

As Necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
Management must contact the Human Resource Department of adding to or changing a significant number of duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Justifications for Education and Training, Job Related Experience, and Knowledge/Abilities are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this job by the average incumbent. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. General computer and office skills including Excel, Word a must. .
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
A degree in business, supply chain or engineering discipline OR equivalent experience.
APICS (CPIM) certification a plus
MINIMUM DIRECTLY RELATED JOB EXPERIENCE:
Three to Five (3-5) years of experience.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
PHYSICAL MOTION:
Walks at least 50% of each workday.
