Associate Creative Director (Copywriting)

Job Summary:
Associate Creative Directors (copywriting) at Humanaut are psychologically compelled to turn the sparks inside their brains into a vision, and ultimately into words that surprise our clients and guide our production team. Our ACD's can crank out scripts, alt-lines, long copy, headlines, and big ideas in the trenches. They are talented, weirdly curious, empathetic, creative powerhouses who follow our collaborative creative process.

  • Cultural truth-telling as your write; discover new truths and communicate them in surprising and interesting ways so that they get lodged inside people's brains with the hope that they will influence consumer choices for the better
  • Participate in team ‘writing rooms’ where we develop a high volume of creative ideas, collectively
  • Collaboratively write scripts, alt-lines, headlines and campaign copy; wherever words are needed, you will be asked to help and pitch in at any or every step of the way;
  • Bring a deep commitment to equity and diversity to your practice with an openness to explore creatively across many different identities and perspectives
  • Work with the team to collaborate, write, and execute campaigns across all mediums; execute scripts ready for production
  • Be ready and eager to present to clients

     
Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • Willingness to relocate to Chattanooga, Tennessee, within 3 to 6 months of hire.
  • 5 to 7 years of creative agency and/or brand agency experience; we’re open to a variety of different mid to senior experience levels and will compensate based on experience and talent
  • Cover Letter and portfolio link are required for consideration.
  • Experience with video production and campaign production is a must; We often write while on set and in the edit
  • Extremely collaborative, flexible, and remains calm under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills; presentation skills are a plus
