Founded and family-owned since 1998, Van Duzer Vineyards is a 140-acre estate Pinot Noir winery located in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA and the Dundee Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

We are is seeking to hire several Brand Ambassadors across the United States to build our brand and execute our sales plan outside of the Oregon market. This is an excellent opportunity if you are passionate and knowledgeable about wine and are interested in working directly with a winery. After outlining a new account target list, you must have the confidence to call on or walk into new accounts without prompting from a Sales Manager.

- Being well-connected to your food and wine market will be helpful - either through experience working in restaurants, working in a wine shop.
- Marketing-minded and has the confidence to propose new, innovated ideas to connect with our customers.

Goal:
Build overall excitement around the winery in your market. Increase sales of our flagship and single vineyard wines. Accomplish this through creating and nurturing connections to elevate the brand presence and reputation among stakeholders resulting in business growth and sustainable partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new business opportunities and connections through networking and create various routes from market to winery-including but not limited to: events, market travel, seminars, fundraisers, hosting, tastings, winery contacts, industry events, dinners, distributor leads, etc.
- Build trust and rapport with key accounts and industry professionals.
- Create marketplace presence (BTG, BTB, name exposure/recognition, invitations, sponsorships) through expanding existing relationships and creating new ones.
- Call on key on and off premise accounts to taste, sell in and create product placement and develop and plan promotional activities.
- Travel to market and sell to targeted account lists.
- Work with distributor partners in market as needed (ride withs, market blitzes, events, etc.)
- Maintain and exhibit a thorough knowledge of the portfolio and keep up to date on general wine knowledge and industry trends.
- Actively engage with the distributor reps to onboard the new business that is created via those connections.
- Work to cultivate relationships with the key influencers in the industry and beyond.
- Build a network of industry contacts

Compensation:
This can be a part-time position for a wine industry professional who is well-connected to their market and could work on off days. A full-time position could also be offered to a brand ambassador who can travel and has the flexibility to host tastings and dinners on the weekends.
Base plus commission on sales. Health benefit offered for full-time only.
