Job Description

Class A drivers run dedicated regional home weekly with average weekly pay of $1375-$1500. Drivers will run almost all their runs in TX but occasionally may need to help out at another facility in MO.

Drivers are paid as follows: Please note that there is plenty of miles and freight:

Pay Structure

  • Starting pay is $.68-$.70 CPM on 1300-1700 MPW
  • Drivers are paid $10/Stop and $225/Trailer that is unloaded.
  • Drivers must live within 50 miles of Houston to qualify for the job
  • Full benefits start after 30 days

Please Note: This is 100% touch freight with drivers unloading boxes onto a conveyor belt at the store. Once the freight goes into the store the driver is done managing the delivery as the inventory and merchandising is done by the employees. The only no touch freight is the pick up at the DC as that is hook and go.

Drivers MUST live within 50 miles of zip code 77001- drivers should have transportation to and from the facility but in some cases (very rare) drivers will be able to take the truck home with them but should plan on parking at the yard.

Drivers will have their 34 hour break during the week and it is NOT guaranteed on the weekend. Additionally, on occasion, drivers may have to go to the facility in MO. If that is the case, they will earn extra home time for when they fill in.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 with a Valid Class A CDL
  • Must have 6 months verifiable Class A Regional or OTR experience in the last 12 months or one year verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 5 years. TIME WITH YOUR TRAINER OR DRIVING SCHOOL DOES NOT COUNT
  • Can never have been convicted of any type of theft for this position
  • Can never have failed or refused a DOT drug test
  • Accidents:

No DOT preventable accidents with damage greater than $1750 in the last 2 years.

No major accident with cost of $2500 in damage or claims.

ANY DOT preventable accident in the last 5 years is an automatic disqualification.

  • No more than 2 preventable incidents in the last 2 years (again damage less than $1750)
  • Cannot have been terminated from last job due to safety concerns
  • NO DUI in the last 5 years in a commercial vehicle and may never have failed or refused a DOT drug or alcohol test.
