Position: Clinical Director, OB & NICU

Job Description:
The Clinical Director will lead the department’s activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing patient care, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with clinical standards. The role is essential for directing departmental operations, budgeting, and fostering professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement departmental goals and standards in line with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
  • Oversee patient care delivery, service level, and compliance management to meet performance and quality standards.
  • Manage staffing activities, including hiring, training, evaluations, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, ensuring departmental compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and oversee fiscal responsibilities.
  • Promote an environment of professional growth and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical protocols.

Duties:

  • Supervise day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Guide nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee medical records for accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
  • Develop and assess individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain clinical standards.
  • Manage shift schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Monitor clinical budgets and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Stay updated on advancements in clinical practices and medical terminology.

Must-Haves:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • 10 years of experience as an RN
  • 5 years of RN experience in OB or NICU
  • 5 years of management experience
  • 400-500 delivers per year. 5 LDRP suites
  • OB or NICU leadership
