REQUIREMENTS:

Project Oversight:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
  • Ensure the proper execution of construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the Superintendent on project status, delays, or changes.

Safety Management:

  • Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet project demands.
  • Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition and availability.
  • Minimize waste and manage site logistics to optimize productivity.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect work for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress and issues encountered.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Train and mentor crew members to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Evaluate crew performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Must pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug screenings.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction (roads, bridges, earthwork, utilities, etc.).
  • Proven track record in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate.
  • Will be required to work in a team environment with fellow employee-owners.
  • Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and construction documents.
