NOTE : This role is intended to be a hybrid role, so we are actively seeking someone within an hour drive of our office outside of Providence, RI. 

Animus Studios is looking for a Creative Lead  who loves working with a team to dream up a concept and getting their hands dirty on production. 

You'll be a creative force on multiple projects, collaborating with the client, producers, designers, animators, and editors to craft sharp, strategic, visually compelling content for brands in pharma, tech, and startups.

This role is perfect for someone who loves video, storytelling, and finding creative answers to business problems and is ready to guide accounts and the creative team through the journey.

We're a team that takes a high-end and scrappy approach. We're all willing to roll our sleeves up and take on a challenge. Sometimes, we're taking on a creative challenge with less resources (aka more than we can chew) and figuring out how to make it happen. The ideal candidate will have the experience to execute at a high-level without needing all the bells & whistles available. 

Responsibilities : 

• Partner with producers to lead creative development across multiple video projects (brand stories, explainers, social videos, patient stories, case studies, launch films) both animation and live action.
• Own the creative briefing process : take client input and shape a clear, focused concept direction.
• Develop moodboards, treatments, scripts, and pitch decks to bring ideas to life.
• Be the primary creative point of contact for clients on assigned accounts.
• Lead or co-lead kickoff and concept presentations.
• Travel to production (either local or global) typically 1 per month.
• Provide feedback to editors, designers, and freelancers to ensure the final output hits the creative mark.
• Help embrace and evolve our internal creative processes. 

Experience

• 5+ years in a creative or video agency
• Strong understanding of storytelling for video and brand
• Confident leading creative presentations and client conversations
• Skilled at translating client strategy into a clear creative direction
• Experience working with producers, editors, animators, and designers
• Background in scriptwriting, art direction, or directing is a plus
• Familiarity with video production and post workflows
• Experience with premium enterprise brands in pharma and tech is a plus
