This position is located in the Food Service Department  of the Veterans Home of California-Chula Vista and is responsible for serving and assisting with the preparation of food and beverages, as well as cleaning and maintaining food service equipment and work areas .

This position is subject to the Post and Bid requirements for Bargaining Unit 15.

Working Conditions

Working overtime is a requirement of this position.

Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.

Special Requirements

Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.

If your eligibility requires that you meet the Minimum Qualifications of the class and you qualify under pattern requiring education, then the selected candidate will be required to provide college transcripts prior to appointment .
