Amazon MGM Studios has an immediate opening for a Head of US Contract Management interested in working with our Amazon MGM team to help to deliver innovative content. The successful candidate in this role will have a strong working knowledge of deal making and relevant terms in the entertainment industry; prior experience in contracts administration working for an entertainment agency, production company, studio or television network; possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly with minimal guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround; collaborate effectively with internal teams; and manage a highly effective team of contract administrators. The candidate will also have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. A high level of competence, integrity and discretion in handling highly confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is key. This position is located in Culver City, California. Key job responsibilities -Manage a team of contract administrators who cover the Amazon MGM Television slate -Create and implement processes and process improvements for tracking and payment -High volume deal tracking (rights, actors, first look and overall and other options), including various report and grid maintenance -Working cross-functionally with the finance team to delineate terms and ensure talent payments are made in a timely manner -Act as an internal and external point of contact for deal related questions and inquiries -Point person for department to ensure deal tracking software reflects the needs of the business affairs team -Oversight over tracking of first look and overall deal terms and options -Liaising with labor team during guild negotiations to ensure the labor team has all relevant information about deals -Manage approvals process for first looks, overalls, development deals and pre-greenlight writers rooms Basic Qualifications -4 year college degree or equivalent industry specific experience -7+ years work experience in a relevant role within the Film/TV/Entertainment production industry -Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Production and Creative teams -Strong organizational skills and the ability to track numerous high value dates and projects -Experience managing a team Preferred Qualifications -Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills -Knowledge of the industry landscape, including producers, production companies, agents and other entertainment entities -Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
