Livestock Insurance Claims Administrator Location Overland Park, KS :

Job Summary

This full-time position is responsible for providing superior customer service and support to Livestock Marketing Insurance Agency insureds by reviewing, processing, and issuing payment for all dead and injured livestock claims daily. In addition, this position will maintain fax distribution and process incoming mail.

Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. The successful applicant must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong computer data entry skills. Experience in insurance, agriculture, AMS360 agency management system, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Processes all dead/injured livestock claims.
  • Reviews claims for required documents and makes requests to insured, when required.
  • Enters claim information, balances claim batch, prints and mails checks.
  • Scan and disburses Agency mail.
  • Manages fax disbursement.

Supervisory Responsibility

There is no supervisory responsibility for this position.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role and the employee in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. The employee must occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment and other employees. Employee constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as phones, copiers, printers, and scanners.

Work Environment:

Daily in-person office environment with some flexibility to work from home in the afternoons after claims are processed.

Travel

No routine travel is expected for this position; however, employee may, at some time, travel to an out-of-town meeting or conference.

Required Education and Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Experience in agriculture
  • Experience with Microsoft Access
  • Experience with AMS360 agency management system
  • Bachelor's Degree
