Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, hard-working pet groomer to offer grooming services to compliment our day care service. Candidates should have a minimum of 2+ years experience as a pet groomer or stylist, have knowledge of breed standards, excellent scissoring techniques and the ability to handle small and large dogs. Flexible hours and negotiable employment/salary structure.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates should be able to professionally perform grooming services including brushing, bathing, ear and teeth cleaning, expression of anal glands, & trimming nails. Follow owner’s instructions and/or Breed Profiles/Standards when clipping or trimming an animal’s coat. Ensure the safety and well-being of animals.

· 2+ years of grooming experience in a professional groom shop environment

· Must own and maintain your own grooming equipment

· Ability to groom all Dog breeds and sizes to customer expectations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Professional grooming services for a variety of dog breeds

Perform spa services, including bathing, drying, and general cleansing, teeth brushing and ear cleansing, as requested for each pet

Groom animals utilizing techniques which vary depending on type of hair, coat, breed and owner instructions

Ability to adapt/respond to different types of customers and pets

Utilize grooming equipment and tools including clippers and shears.

Provide courteous service to all customers.

Manage schedule and Appointments

Interest in animal welfare.

Assist with building the grooming business (ie: reminder calls, greet customers upon arrival, etc).

Ensure grooming salon cleanliness, perform routine housekeeping to maintain appearance of the grooming salon.

Assist with Canine Coach responsibilities, as time permits
