Emergency Room Physician Assistant (PA) shall provide Direct Patient Care. Estimated 90 – 95% of time is involved in direct patient care.

EMERGENCY ROOM PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to pass a Government security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen or be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have and maintain certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Must possess a current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
• Required: Three (3) years experience in outpatient care in an Emergency Department environment
• Communicate, understand, read, and write English proficiently
• Must hold current certifications in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

EMERGENCY ROOM PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sit, stand, walk, talk, or hear.
• Remain in a stationary position with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
• Move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
• Communicate with others to exchange information (face-to-face, listen, talk, type, etc.).
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and smell.
• Use a computer keyboard intermittently, repeating the same movements (using wrists, hands, and fingers).
• Have the ability to physically move or lift patients and use proper posture to avoid injury.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
• The noise level in the work environment ranges regularly from quiet to loud.
