About this Role:
The Health Program Manager (HPM) II serves as the Manager of the Program Policy and Operations Section. The HPM II will have oversight of multi-disciplinary staff working on the surveillance, program evaluation, quality assurance, data management, research, and clinical policy development within the Office of Family Planning (OFP), including the recruitment, selection and hiring of state personnel. The HPM II is required to be a subject matter expert (SME) in the administrative policies, procedures, and Program Standards under the Family PACT program to provide program support to the provider community, and work in collaboration with other Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and OFP staff. The HPM II oversees the management of the OFP Share Point site, databases, and dashboards; planning and performing analyses on family planning and reproductive health services; and serving as a resource for statewide partners in the area family planning and reproductive health services. Travel/overnight travel may be required for meetings and trainings 5% or less of the time.

Non-Exempt Positions:
This position may be eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in-person and site-based a minimum of two days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.
Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
