We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a QA Analyst L2 in the automotive industry, based in Torracne, CA. The QA Analyst L2 will be instrumental in defining quality metrics, developing test strategies, and managing risks. This role will also involve writing and reviewing test cases, executing tests, tracking bugs, and implementing automated test scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Establish quality standards and define metrics for projects within the automotive industry
- Create innovative test strategies, including plans for both automation and manual testing
- Participate in sprint planning meetings to seamlessly integrate QA tasks
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation plans
- Write and thoroughly review test cases and test scripts
- Conduct different types of testing including unit, functional, performance, stress, and acceptance testing
- Log defects, track their resolution, and ensure all issues are fixed in a timely manner
- Implement and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency
- Attend daily standup meetings to provide updates on QA status and possible roadblocks
- Regularly update stakeholders on QA progress and quality metrics
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other team members to ensure quality is maintained throughout the development lifecycle
- Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and tools
- Provide guidance and training to entry level QA team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise reporting
- Proven experience in training and upskilling team members
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with planning processes within the automotive industry
- A keen eye for quality, focusing on maintaining high standards and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a focus on team collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of automotive industry regulations and compliance standards
- Proven ability to drive progress and achieve set targets
- Willingness to travel as required by the role
- Experience in metric reporting and data analysis
- Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies
- Technical expertise in Python and Java
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and other key stakeholders
- Experience in process improvement within the automotive industry
- Deep understanding of quality assurance principles and practices
- Proficiency in risk management and defect management within the automotive industry
- Familiarity with conductivity principles relevant to the automotive industry
