ASSOCIATE PERSONNEL ANALYST (LIMITED TERM FULLTIME) / HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION / RISK MANAGEMENT BRANCH / SACRAMENTO HEADQUARTERS BUILDING
The reporting location for this position is Risk Management Unit in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of Staff Services Manager I.This position serves as the Department’s Reasonable Accommodation, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)/California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Catastrophic Leave and Workers’ Compensation/Return to Work Coordinator. This position independently manages the Department’s Reasonable Accommodation cases, FMLA/CFRA, PDL, CAT Leave requests and Workers’ Compensation claims while working within the framework of laws, rules, policies, and guidelines. This position will also assist the Department’s Wellness/Employee Assistance Program Coordinator. The incumbent serves as the Department’s expert resource and central liaison between control agencies such as State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF), American International Group (AIG), Public Employee’s Retirement System (PERS), and California Department of Human Resources (CalHR).
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
Please note: The Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility list will be used as an appropriate for the Associate Personnel Analyst. Candidates with Associate Governmental Program Analyst eligibility must also meet the minimum qualifications for the Associate Personnel Analyst classification in order to be eligible for appointment.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.

Knowledge of statutes, regulations, policies and procedures governing Workers' Compensation, Reasonable Accommodation, FMLA/CFRA, PDL, CAT Leave, Medical Actions and Fitness-for-Duty evaluations (i.e., State and Departmental policies and procedures, California Labor Code, Fair Employment and Housing Act, Americans with Disability Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Division of Workers’ Compensation laws and rules, etc.) Ability to organize and establish workload priorities and work well under pressure. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, diplomacy and flexibility. Ability to work effectively both independently and cooperatively with others. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform completed staff work and have strong analytical skills. Ability to reason well and use good judgment. Dependable and punctual. Experience with personal computers utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
