Role Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer with experience in developing engaging eLearning content and supporting live training initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring our go-to-market teams have a strong foundation of Actian products, sales processes, tech stack, and selling skills. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sales Enablement Manager and other stakeholders across the organization to create scalable, impactful learning experiences that empower our global sales teams to be successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: 
  • Design, develop, and implement engaging, interactive eLearning courses using tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise. 
  • Create and curate content for onboarding, ongoing training, and other learning initiatives. 
  • Ensure eLearning modules align with instructional design best practices and learning objectives. 
  • Partner with the Sales Enablement Manager to develop content for live workshops and instructor-led training sessions. 
  • Partner with the Sales Enablement Manager on needs assessments to identify prioritized content development plans aligned to Actian’s strategic GTM goals.
  • Content Management: 
  • Maintain and organize content within learning paths to ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously update materials based on feedback, business needs, or updates. 
  • Collaboration and Feedback: 
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align training materials with business goals. 
  • Track and report on effectiveness of training programs to identify needed improvements and/or additional content 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, with a focus on eLearning development. 
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Synthesia). 
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint or Google Slides design and ability to create visually appealing and engaging slide decks. 
  • Experience designing both self-paced and live training content. 
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content organization (Skilljar). 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a sales enablement or training environment, especially within the software or technology sector. 
  • Experience building New Hire Onboarding program 
  • Familiarity with video editing tools or multimedia design (e.g., Camtasia, Synthesia). 
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator) is a plus.
