Reports to: Senior Program Manager – Residential

Compensation * : Competitive starting salary $81,600 - $102,800 commensurate with skills and experience, Full Pay Range: $81,600 - $124,000

Employment Classification: Exempt

Our Location

Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Senior Project Manager would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

 

What We’re Looking For:

This position will manage the delivery of residential and commercial energy efficiency programs offered in southwest Washington. In addition, this position will also be responsible for oversight of projects and initiatives within the residential sector.

This individual reports to the Sr. Program Manager, Residential. 

This position is expected to report to the Portland office quarterly at a minimum for all staff and other in-person meetings. 

 

What You’ll Do:

· Manage all aspects of goal setting, budget, program development and implementation of residential and business sector activities in SW Washington with an annual budget of about $1.9 million. 

· Manage, negotiate and develop contracts with program management contractors for NWN WA implementation services. 

· Present, negotiate, and manage relationships with utilities, advisory groups and external stakeholders to reach program objectives. Includes development of quarterly and annual reports, tariff filings, IRP targets, Energy Efficiency plans, and budget development. 

· Coordinate with Oregon programs to establish delivery efficiencies in SW Washington whenever possible. 

· Develop and utilize various tools to track and report on program initiatives. 

· Coordinate, review and assist program management contractors in developing various program forms, marketing pieces, and correspondence.

· Coordinate and collaborate with Energy Trust internal support departments to ensure program effectiveness and continued innovation in the SW Washington market. 

· Develop and coordinate with key external agencies such as Clark Public utilities, Clark County and the Building Industry Association to ensure uptake and success of SW Washington program. 

· Support program staff and contractors to build out midstream strategies; represent the residential program in cross sector coordination, maintain relationships with distributors and equipment manufacturers to advance program implementation designs; manage current pilot efforts to support expansion of midstream designs. 

· Support the build out of the organization’s digital transformation efforts by advancing residential online and do it yourself solutions. 

· Perform all functions of the job duties in a safe manner. 

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

While this position does not have any direct staff reports, the position will work in a team-based environment and will lead initiatives and oversee work of staff and program management contractors as necessary in the course of managing specific programs and/or initiatives

 

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

· 3-5 years of experience in project development, evaluation, and/or management in energy efficiency programs. 

· Demonstrated experience in managing complex contracts

· Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. 

· Experience in all phases of hiring and managing contractors, from internal approval of funding, writing scopes of work, soliciting bids, negotiating and finalizing contracts, to managing the execution of the contract.

· Experience working on multiple concurrent team-based initiatives. 

· Experience managing processes, facilitating dialogues, and coordinating projects.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software applications. Ability to build spreadsheet models based on input from managers.

· Strong interpersonal and contractor personnel management skills
