Job Description

As a Senior Technical Project Manager with Resource Data, you’ll help scope and deliver custom software solutions that elevate enterprise systems efficiency, performance, and value. You’ll join a team of technical consultants to help provide solutions to our client’s most challenging enterprise IT problems. As a member of this team, you will also be responsible for eliciting, analyzing and documenting requirements as needed, including determination of system impact and software configuration. You will work closely with the client to understand both their business processes and IT needs to deliver projects within scope, timeline and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project charters, budgets, plans, and overall scope for client-facing IT projects
  • Liaise between client and internal project teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of defined scopes and budget.
  • Work with the project team to document standards, project deliverables, and requirements
  • Collect information through subject matter interviews, business documents, project notes, and other contextual information
  • Document technical and business processes/workflows in narrative and diagrammatic forms following Resource Data, client, and industry standards and guidelines
  • Lead and direct teams of software developers, business analysts, testers, and architects to deliver on client projects
  • Mitigate risks and proactively identify and resolve project issues

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience leading custom software development and COTS projects on structured development teams
  • 3+ years of experience with technical writing for audiences such as Software Engineers, System Administrators, or other IT and business professionals
  • Experience iterating directly with clients in a consulting role
  • Proven ability to manage projects with $100k+ budgets
  • Proficiency with project management planning and reporting tools
  • Experience writing user stories and gathering technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience consulting with state and federal agencies a plus
