Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join a dynamic and innovative team. Key Responsibilities:
Full-cycle accounting: Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily sales reconciliation, daily cash & bank reconciliation, month-end closing journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.
Customer payment processing: Ensure customer payments are properly reconciled and maintain the integrity of accounts receivable records.
Invoicing & reconciliation: Manage invoicing and ensure timely and accurate submission of accounts.
Vendor account management: Monitor aging vendor accounts and ensure timely payments, helping to prevent overdue balances.
Cash flow & resource planning: Support efficient company cash flow and planning efforts.
Commission accruals: Assist with obtaining monthly commission accruals and payouts to sales representatives.
Financial institution coordination: Collaborate with financial institutions on banking activities and updates.
Invoice review & budget management: Review company purchase requisitions, ensuring proper authorization and alignment with the budget.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years in general accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting processes.
Skills:
Familiarity with GAAP and relevant tax principles.
Experience with Deltek CostPoint or similar accounting software is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment.
High level of integrity and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Qualities: Self-starter, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $76,000 to $85,000 per year.
