We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Staff Accountant to support our financial operations. This is a hybrid remote role based in the District of Columbia. As a key member of our financial team, you will ensure the accurate and timely recording of company transactions and assist with various day-to-day accounting tasks. About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the full cycle of accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, daily sales and cash reconciliations, month-end journal entries, account reconciliation, and year-end inventory. You will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring that payments and transactions are processed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of accounting tasks, including updating transactions, reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing month-end journal entries, and conducting account reconciliation.
Ensure timely reconciliation of customer payments and manage accounts receivable integrity.
Maintain customer payment portals and oversee invoicing and payment coordination.
Monitor the aging of vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and prevent past-due accounts.
Manage cash flow to optimize resources and achieve financial efficiency.
Assist in monthly commission accruals and ensure the timely payment of sales representatives' commissions.
Collaborate with financial institutions to handle banking activities and any changes or charges.
Review and authorize company purchase requisitions and invoices to ensure they are within budget.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of experience in general accounting
Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint and related modules (preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant tax principles
Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Critical thinking skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating integrity and reliability
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $76,000 to $85,000 per year
