*This position is year-round (not summer-only) and is located at the Fort Smith, AR headquarters. No remote option. Job Description The Student Worker, Information Center is responsible for providing assistance to the Information Center team. Responsibilities * Assist with minor computer support tasks. * Schedule upgrades to Microsoft operating systems. * Assist in the process of salvaging computer equipment including documenting salvage items and placement in a shipping container. * Troubleshoot failed and missing Microsoft operating system updates and security patches. * Assist in the process of receiving new and used equipment, including documenting items and transporting them to storage. * Investigate failed 3rd party security patches and updates. * Other duties and projects, as assigned. * Document and share troubleshooting methods and solutions. * Assist in delivery and setup of computer hardware at multiple Fort Smith, AR campus locations. Requirements Education: * Currently pursuing a college degree. Experience: * No prior experience necessary Computer Skills: * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred Competencies: * Active Learning * Flexibility and Adaptability * Initiative * Interpersonal Relationships * Managing Multiple Priorities * Problem Solving Other Details Work Hours: * This is a part-time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload. Compensation: * This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
