Shape the future of entertainment as a Usability Specialist with a leading global entertainment provider! Partnering with Aquent, you'll join a team revolutionizing how millions of customers experience streaming video worldwide. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the next generation of entertainment consumption across a diverse range of devices and platforms.
As a key member of the UX Research team, you will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience for millions of customers. You will conduct a wide range of user experience studies, from usability testing and surveys to field studies and competitive reviews. Your insights will directly impact product design and development, shaping the future of how people access and enjoy entertainment.
What You'll Do:
  • Conduct various user experience studies, including usability tests, surveys, field studies, competitive reviews, and more.
  • Develop tasks and materials for testing, defining clear success criteria for each study.
  • Own and execute all aspects of research studies, from planning and recruitment to analysis and reporting.
  • Present findings and make actionable recommendations to product and design teams.
  • Observe user sessions, analyze data, and collaborate with teams to ensure findings are implemented effectively.
  • Analyze and refine wireframes and mockups to optimize user experience.


Must-Haves:

  • PhD or equivalent Master's degree plus 5+ years of experience in quantitative research methods (benchmarking, surveys, A-B tests/multivariate experiments, and behavioral analytics, etc.) and activities (study design, test creation and execution, analysis, statistical modeling, reporting, etc.)
  • Fluency with survey creation and remote testing platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, UserTesting, Dscout)
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, researchers, product managers, and developers.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, and navigate complex challenges.
  • Strong customer focus and advocacy for user-centered research.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with qualitative research methods.
  • Background in the entertainment or streaming media industry.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.70 to $50.78 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
