About the Role:

We're looking for a US based Business Development Manager to help expand our 3rd party logistics business, a new business segment for Crowd Cow. Through our primary business of providing delicious, sustainable meat and seafood to our customers, we have built a strong network of fulfillment centers and last mile delivery carriers achieving 1-day/2-day delivery across the US. We are looking to share this capability with other partners who are looking for dedicated logistics services for their cold-chain goods DTC operations.

Crowd Cow has one of the best cold chain fulfillment capabilities in the country for efficiently packaging and shipping frozen perishable goods. We go above and beyond to strive for customer satisfaction with the final delivered product. Our custom software and unique fulfillment solutions offer customizable packaging and shipping solutions. In addition to storage and fulfillment, we offer delivery services through an efficient line haul injection network and a set of last mile carriers, thus providing a complete DTC experience.

Through this new business development role, we are looking to grow this 3PL fulfillment line of business exponentially.

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Driving Strategic Growth and meeting aggressive revenue goals by selling Crowd Cow's cold-chain frozen fulfillment solutions to DTC companies.
  • Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects while nurturing existing accounts to deepen relationships and expand their business volume.
  • Developing the sales strategies, and directly leading the sales effort including evaluation of account interest, presentation of services, development of the proposal for Crowd Cow fulfillment services and final presentation to potential DTC clients.
  • Executing outbound sales efforts via cold calls, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and reaching out to your referral network.

What You Bring:

  • At least 5 years of sales experience in logistics industry
  • Strong preference given to candidates with 2+ years of experience is in Perishable/Consumables 3PL Direct To Consumer fulfillment industry
  • Curiosity and flexibility - as the role would require creativity to identify the right leads for our footprint and the prospective customers' requirements.
  • Problem solving capabilities - as we are building out many of the externalization of the 3PL capabilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on relationship-building.
  • Comfortable in working in a fast paced environment and willing to be flexible on approach.

Location: This is a remote, U.S. based, position with the possibility of some travel within the U.S.

TL/DR: You'll drive growth through new business development and strategic account management by expanding our third party logistics business, using your relationships in and knowledge of the DTC consumable space. You're a natural relationship builder and problem solver who understands the challenges that companies face in the logistics and cold-chain fulfillment industry.
