About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Application Administrator to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our application environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and tools, coupled with strong expertise in Oracle databases and SQL. Additionally, familiarity with networking and firewall principles is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Environment Management: Design, plan, and maintain robust application environments to meet organizational needs.

• PeopleSoft Administration: Manage and optimize PeopleSoft architecture, including updates, patches, and performance tuning.

• Database Management: Administer Oracle databases, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.

• Implementation Support: Lead the deployment of application solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business goals.

• Performance Monitoring: Monitor application and database performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and potential issues.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve application-related issues, collaborating with developers, network teams, and other stakeholders as needed.

• Networking and Security: Work with networking teams to ensure secure connectivity and compliance with firewall policies.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

• Collaboration: Partner with IT, development, and business teams to support system integrations and upgrades.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• +2 years of experience in application administration or similar roles, with a focus on PeopleSoft environments.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture and tools.

• Proficiency in Oracle database administration and SQL query optimization.

• Basic understanding of networking principles, firewalls, and security protocols.

• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and techniques.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with middleware technologies and integrations.

• Familiarity with cloud-based applications and services.

• Certifications in Oracle or PeopleSoft Administration.
