Job Description

Kids Above All is seeking a prenatal, post-partum, Full Time birth doula who is bilingual (Spanish Speaking) for the program located at our Chicago-West office.

Essential Functions:

• Partner with Parent Educators to provide supplemental doula services to clients in the Parent Empowerment Program.
• Provide clients with comfort measures and pain relief techniques during labor and delivery for a positive and safe hospital birth.
• Offer postpartum clients support in areas such as recovery, resource connections, and emotional health.
• Equip families with resources and information regarding pregnancy, childbirth, child safety, and development through regular home visits.
• Assist the family in strengthening the parent-child relationship
• Organizes and maintains complete, accurate, up-to-date records for children and families.
• Partner with Parent Educator on case to support families in locating programs to meeting basic needs which may include employment, housing, day care and other state and local program assistance.
• Flexibility with work hours (weekends, nights, overnights, holidays) for births.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Associates or Bachelors (Health Science or related degree) (Preferred)
• 2 years of experience working with infants or perinatal population in some capacity.
• Bilingual Required (Spanish and English)
• Experience as a trained DONA doula attending hospital births (preferred)
• Availability to train as a DONA certified doula (required)
• Must reside in Lake County, Illinois.
• All candidates must be willing to attend hospital births at any time. This may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Base Salary: $51,480
