At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a FP&A Analyst to join the LNCA Finance team in West Hartford, CT . As a member of the finance department, this position has direct involvement and responsibilities in the reporting of budget, forecast and monthly financial close. Assist C-suite levels of management in understanding and interpreting their financial results, budgets and related financial information and processes. Candidate will participate in all facets of the budgeting process, working with the corporate team to complete detailed budget in accordance with LNCA guidelines and time frame. Individual will collect and analyze data from all LNCA entities for monthly financial forecast, coordinating inputs and preparing forecast for review. Identifies trends and anomalies, examines further to identify drivers, prepares summary of findings for review by top financial staff. Individual will work with other members of the finance team to complete month-end close in a timely fashion. Review and analyze various business functions and help develop process improvement plans to increase efficiency and improve results.

What Will You Do?

  1. Preparation and analysis of various month-end financial reports in planful and excel
  2. Preparation, entry and review of monthly cost centers for CIO, CMO, and VP of Sourcing
  3. Preparation of ops portions of monthly LNCA Reporting Package
  4. Monthly review and forecasting of net material price and related ops reporting
  5. Ad hoc reports and requests from Group Headquarters
  6. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
  • Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Company specific accounting and finance software and systems a plus (Planful, Infinium, etc.)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation and to give and receive detailed/complex and sensitive information, and process that information appropriately.
  • Demonstrate an ability to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence.
  • Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
